		<description>I concur with the general opinion that macaroons = coconutty cake things and macarons = dayglo meringue things. Typing the names just now I realised I pronounce the first one in my head in a terrible Scottish accent and the second one in a terrible French accent so I really can&#039;t use the two interchangeably. It&#039;d be anarchy.

Not that I&#039;ve ever had a macaron to be honest. I like meringue but the macaron is so brightly coloured and *tidy* looking that I find it a bit off-putting.</description>
